We just finished reading William Faulkner's Guests of Our Nation, Frank O'Conner's The Rocking-Horse Winner, and Edgar Allan Poe's peices: The Black Cat, The Cask Of Amontillado, and The Mask of the Red Death. We are also about to start Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher.

I tend to like Poe's work, because they seem so far ahead of his time. And his stories are not so much paranormal, but merely happenings in his brain; remnants of his psycologically unstable mind. All of his characters have a sort of human quality about them because they're not all perfect. Even though their thinking seems to be... off a little, if thought about, the logic seems...
